The condition of the American Indian is appallingly horrible.
For Indians languishing on reservations, where poverty is endemic,
whether on the Colville Reservation in Washington or any of the Lakota reservations in South Dakota,
the appropriation and fashion-play and fashion dress-up is pure ugliness and insensitivity.
